Do you like the outdoors, protecting the environment, and learning? Join CRWC’s Clinton River Quest – a watershed scavenger hunt, and become a River Ranger! This program offers something for everyone; whether you are new to environmental stewardship, or an experienced outdoor enthusiast, the Clinton River Quest promises to be an exciting and fulfilling adventure.
CRWC’s Clinton River Quest program engages people in the watershed using education, involvement, and stewardship. This includes teaching Clinton River watershed facts, visiting restoration and green infrastructure sites, and activities to get involved!
Guiding you through these experiences, the Quest takes you on a trip of local watershed discovery. You can complete everything at your own pace. Participants become known as “River Rangers”, and proudly defend our water resources while enjoying them!
HOW TO BECOME A RIVER RANGER:
-
Sign up through our website following the Eventbrite registration link – Each registration donation helps support the CRWC's programs and efforts to protect, enhance, and celebrate the Clinton River, its watershed, and Lake St. Clair!
-
Follow the guidebook to choose your adventure through the watershed. Expect this quest to take some time, likely greater than a weekend. You may complete as many or as few activities as you like. Take your time exploring our watershed and you'll be sure to experience something new!
-
A survey will be sent to participants so that you can report your point totals and claim prizes. We also want to see your adventures! Show us and your friends that you support your watershed by taking pictures as you explore. Upload your photos to social media and use these hashtags #RiverRangers #ClintonRiverQuest #PureOaklandWater. Don’t have social media? Pictures can be sent to pronoye@rcwc.org!
