Jennifer Hill

JENNIFER HILL
Executive Director

  • Jennifer joined CWRC in 2022 as Executive Director, leading the organization in its mission to protect, enhance, and celebrate the Clinton River, its watershed, and Lake St. Clair.

    Jennifer has 17 years of experience in Great Lakes policy advocacy, non-profit management, and coalition building. As Associate Director of the National Wildlife Federation’s Great Lakes Regional Center, Jennifer led the expansion of NWF’s work addressing PFAS in the region, including co-founding the Great Lakes PFAS Action Network. She oversaw water, chemicals of emerging concern, and wildlife programs, led the strategic development in the region, and incubated new programming. Jennifer earned her B.A. in Environmental Science from the University of Michigan in 2005. Lake Huron is her family's happy place, and that is where they spend their free time, rain or shine, snow or sun.

  • As the Watershed Program Coordinator, Pronoye assists the Education & Stewardship Manager in planning and executing CRWC's stormwater and stewardship programs. She also assists the Watershed Ecologist in completing any ecological applications from fieldwork to data entry. 

    Pronoye graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a specialization in Natural Resource Sustainability and Management and a minor in Biology. 

    Pronoye enjoys traveling, reading, and being outdoors.

Jeffery Schiffman

  • As CRWC's Watershed Planner, Jeffery is responsible for leading and developing a suite of programming focused on connecting and re-connecting communities within the watershed to the River. He will plan and implement activities relating to green infrastructure and the needs of WaterTowns communities, counties, and regional partners working within the watershed.

    For several years, Jeffery was the Conservation Project Manager at Western Reserve Land Conservancy. Later he served as the Land Bank Administrator for the City of Cleveland in the Division of Neighborhood Development. He moved to Southeast Michigan in late 2020 and worked at the City of Flint in the Planning Department.

    Jeffery has a Juris Doctor, Master of Urban Planning, Design, and Development degree from Cleveland State University.

Kahlan Robinson

  • As the Green Stormwater Infrastructure Coordinator, Kahlan Robinson oversees CRWC’s residential green infrastructure program, assists in increasing the usage, access to, and educational programing around Michigan’s native plants, and works with the Watershed Planner to expand GSI services.

    Kahlan served with Huron Pines AmeriCorps and was placed at CRWC in January 2024. After her service ended, she joined the CRWC team as the Green Stormwater Infrastructure Coordinator. She graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Ecology, Conservation, and Organismal Biology.

    In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, growing food, reading, and making pottery.

  • As the Watershed Ecologist, Mikela leads CRWC’s ecological, biological, and restoration work, including facilitating project development and implementation through partnership building, data collection, and field research. She leads the ecological restoration team, including supervising the Environmental Scientist and summer intern positions, working closely with volunteers, supporting the scientific needs of CRWC programming, and leading the CRCCP.

    She received a B.S. in Biology from The University of Michigan in 2018. Mikela also received a Master of Science from the University of Michigan in 2023, where she specialized in Ecosystem Science and Management (ESM) and Geospatial Data Science (GDS).

    In her free time, Mikela enjoys spending time outside—whether she’s hiking, kayaking, or photographing nature.

  • As CRWC’s Education and Stewardship Manager, Kaleigh Snoddy leads the program team in the coordination of CRWC's education and stewardship programs and events, as well as the development of new programs. She also manages all service contracts with partner communities related to their stormwater education compliance permits. 

    Kaleigh graduated with honors from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a Specialization in Resource Sustainability and Management as well as a minor in Biology. She also holds a remote pilot certification for conducting drone operations.

    In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and spending all the time she can on the water.

  • Angie oversees the finances of the Clinton River Watershed Council. She brings with her almost 20 years of financial experience working for different companies and schools. She studied French & English at Oakland University.

    Angie is passionate about sustainability, and her gardens are filled with plants, trees and flowers for the birds, insects, pollinators and animals. She loves spending time with her family, is a steward for her honeybees, and in her spare time runs a small sustainable travel business sharing ideas and teaching others about leaving no footprints when traveling and living more sustainably.

Lydia Nicholas

  • As CRWC’s Environmental Scientist, Lydia assists in data collection and analysis in the field, works closely with volunteers and communities within the watershed, and leads CRWC’s Weekly Clean Program.

    Lydia earned an Associate of Science at St. Clair County Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Michigan Technological University.

    Lydia has a deep connection to the outdoors. Prior to their arrival at CRWC, Lydia worked at Friends of the St. Clair River where they managed the Thumb Coast Storm Drain Art Project, where stormwater awareness was promoted through art initiatives across St. Clair County.

Janice Sugden

Accountant

  • Janice oversees the day-to-day finances of the Clinton River Watershed Council. She has been an accounting professional for over 20 years and has a bachelor’s degree from Ferris State University.

    In her free time, Janice enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family.
