Stormwater Presentation: Protecting Lake St. Clair

  • Grosse Pointe Public Library 10 Kercheval Avenue Grosse Pointe, MI, 48236 United States (map)

Did you know that water from the Clinton River and its tributaries flow downstream to Lake St. Clair, before making its way through the Detroit River and into Lake Erie?

Lake St. Clair is a cornerstone of our community and offers unparalleled recreational opportunities and serves as a vital ecological resource. From boating and fishing to birdwatching and swimming, Lake St. Clair is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. It serves as habitat for countless species and is an important part of the Great Lakes Basin, one of the largest freshwater ecosystems in the world.

Join the Clinton River Watershed Council for a free presentation on where water goes in your community, issues that impact Lake St. Clair, as well as what individuals and communities can do to help protect our freshwaters, such as planting rain gardens and clearing litter from storm drains.

This educational presentation is free and open to the public - no experience required!
