Nourished By Nature Reptile & Amphibian Walk

  • Clinton River Watershed Council 1115 West Avon Road Rochester Hills, MI, 48309 United States (map)

Join us for a night of reptile and amphibian fun with local experts to learn about common critters and the most common calls that you will hear within the Clinton River watershed from both frogs and toads!

Step into the world of reptiles and amphibians with the Clinton River Watershed Council's upcoming event, part of our Nourished by Nature experience series.

Learn from local experts as they guide you through the distinctive calls of frogs and toads echoing across the Clinton River Watershed. Explore their habitats, their role as indicator species, and the impact of stormwater pollution on these vital creatures.

ABOUT THE EVENT

Join us at the Clinton River Watershed Council's office for a presentation on identifying the different types of frog and toad calls we will hear along with some nocturnal critters that we might see!

Afterward, we'll venture into Bloomer Park (Letica Drive Trailhead parking lot off Letica Drive/E 2nd St.) where we will spend the rest of the time keeping our ears and eyes open for calls and animal sightings!

This educational event is open to participants aged 15 and above (with a parent/guardian). Bring a flashlight or use your smartphone for illumination. While it is not required, participants may want to consider wearing muck boots or other sturdy/waterproof shoes for the potentially damp trails.
